My name is Léa. I am french and my british husband and our 3 kids moved to Massachusetts 2 years ago. I love to travel and see new places. I have really enjoyed seeing the US through my french eyes and going back to Europe every summer has been exhilarating. I love re-visitng places I have known for years and my camera has taught me to see beauty in the most simple things: whether it’s a old house in the North New-Hampshire, little boats on the Welsh coast or fruit on the market in the South of France.
About this shoot:
The first time I visited Brooklyn Heights I knew I wanted to shoot a session there. I fell in love with that area of New York, so when we decided to do photos with Melissa and Dave, this location was a natural choice. Melissa’s Mom and Dad had many dates on the beautiful Brooklyn promenade looking out onto the NYC skyline.
The lovely brownstone houses were the perfect backdrop, and the Christmas decorations and wreaths added so much character to this shoot. We were there on January first, the sunset was amazing and gave us a breathtaking view of NYC. The wind was terribly cold but didn’t stop us from crossing the Brooklyn Bridge. The sun had set by the time we reached it, but we still managed a few photos on the bridge.
Most of these images were taken on Portra 400 and processed and developed by the FIND lab.
